Since I was young, I’ve always loved colors. As a child, I would comment on how I liked certain colors or combinations of colors. My mom often told me that she was surprised by my taste since I didn’t always point out the vibrant colors a typical 7 year old might enjoy. Picking color combinations still brings me joy to this day, whether in my art, outfits, or knitting.

I like creating art because when I’m creating, my brain goes quiet, as it is only focused on the art in front of me. When I’m working up close to the artwork, the progress I’m making isn’t very noticeable. But when I step back every once in a while, I can tell that I have made a lot of progress. Oftentimes I am taken aback in a good way at what I have done, and it brings me a sense of accomplishment.
